I have received my tax appraisal from Travis county and it is much higher than last year (I am sure many of you have had the same experience!). My home's value has been listed 20 k higher than what I would be able to sell it for right now. I am wondering if there is any one here who can pull up a comparable sales list for last year or refer me to a good real estate agent who can. The home is near the intersection of RR620 and 2222.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Agents are not allowed to pitch service on CD forums or be referred directly.

Your best bet is to Google "How to Protest Your Property Value at Travis County Appraisal District" and investigate some of the links.

You can also Google "Tax Protest Services Austin TX" and find some of the companies that do it for you for a split of the savings.

Good Luck,

Steve
