We are going out to TX after the first of the year to visit for a potential move. Some of the places we are going to visit which seemed to strike me right (for a young family with young kids, and conservative views) are Round Rock, Pflugerville, Jonestown, Georgetown, Windmere, and Cedar Park. We will be living off of a one household income, my husband is an electrician, and we come from a small town in San Diego county with about 13,000 people in it. There are towns just 10 minutes down the road from us with about 56,000 people. We would love the small town effect, but in the case of 1200 people it's too small. Are these places that would fit our conditions? Since we're from San Diego and downtown is only about 45 minutes away, we are going to like the small town with the big city feel right down the street type thing. Anyway, I would also like to know if we should stay in Austin and go out and visit these places during our trip, or if we should stay in somewhere like Round Rock and visit. Any help would be great thanks!
