A series of contractors have messed up quite a bit of my grass, the latest being deck stain and cleaner spilled on the surrounding grass. I need to have a pallet or two installed and old grass taken out. how much do you think the grass will cost and the rip up/installation?

also, any good (relatively affordable) places that sell grass by the pallet?

The Grass Outlet | Sod Grass for Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio

I had a good experience last month with the Grass Outlet on 620. It's a better deal on delivery costs if you get more than one pallet. Their prices for different types of sod are on their website. I installed the sod myself so not sure about labor costs. They do have a good rating on yelp.

I've used King Ranch with good results.

Yes, but only if the company pays for it. You're going to be out a heck of a lot of expensive water to try to establish sod right now.

Thanks guys!

Hillcountry - don't really have a choice. The affected spots look pretty bad.

Do you need to match existing turf? I'd really stay away from StA if you can. Depends on if you have sun/shade. I've had 40' x 6' ripped up twice by utility companies and it's hell. Get some good top soil to put down too for best results.
