I am the attendant of a young woman (32) living with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy. She is now thinking about moving out of her parents' home and living on her own. This is not limited to assisted living facilities, she may want to have an apartment and have an attendant come in when needed. The problem that we're facing though is that there seems to be a lack of options or just a lack of good Google searches that don't immediately take us to senior living communities. Any one know of any places other that the immediate pop-ups like Marbridge? She also may have a roommate and if they decide to get an apartment together they MUST have a roll-in shower. Do yall have any complexes in mind that offer this? I know it's a tough market, but it's out there; we just haven't figured how to tap into it yet.

Try a realtor or an apartment locator. They may be able to help. Habitat Hunters helped me find my first apartment in Austin over 20 years ago and they are still in business. If they can't help directly, perhaps they will know of resources.

It also might be worth a quick call to Any Baby Can. Even though they probably couldn't help your client directly, they are very tapped into all the resources available in Austin and might be able to help shape your search. good luck!

Try contacting ADAPT ADAPT: Welcome to ADAPT! Helping find appropriate housing is not their specific mission, but if anyone knew of good places, their people would.
