I have loads of clothing I want to sell to a consignment store in the Round Rock, North Austin area. But for great deal....I will travel further south.

I know about the 2 big ones here in RR...Mamacents, and Fairytale Threads....but I need cash now! Who has experience in sell to local consignment shops??

I have sold the Once Upon A Child....and I am really not sure if they gave me a good price or not, because they are the only one I have sold to. Also....I know there are several Once Upons around this area....I sold to the one on AW Grimms and Gattis School Rd. Perhaps I should try a different location??

I really don't want to do all the work involved in selling at the 2 big ones coming up....I just want a good price for what I have.....much of it is brand new with tags.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

EBay is often a better route for maximizing cash, except you say you need the money now...

The problem with eBay is.....I always spend what I make on new acquisitions. While this is a good way to turn my daughter's too small clothing into a new wardrobe of sizes that fit....I always go way over board, and that is how I got into this mess. My husband is tired of looking at the 10 or 12 crates of too small clothes, that i spent a small fortune on, and he threatens to send them all to the goodwill. I will be donating many of the items, but I want to give them to a children's shelter, or the Texas Baptist Children's Home here in RR.

I just want to try and recoup some of the money i spent on the original purchases.

Thanks for your reply.

Sparkle Kids is upscale resale. Brands Gap and up. I have sold a couple of times and have been pleased knowing that no resale or consignment kids shop is going to be as lucrative as eBay but eBay is labor-intensive. They are on Burnet just north of 45th.
