I am flying into Texas on April 1st and hope to see GREEN! After a long hard winter of snow, cold, brown and grey, I want to see spring. GREEN trees, flowers, and a smell of spring.

So, will I see green trees in Austin on April 1st?

We have green trees year round. But, we also have shades of brown from lack of rain year round.

The trees will be green, and there should be a good showing of wildflowers as well.

Yep, the trees fully leaf out (most of them, anyway) the 3rd week of March.

It's green here now! April 1 should be glorious with bluebonnets and other wildflowers along the roads

Your green spectrum must reach well into my brown spectrum.

Take a side trip over Atlanta if you want flowers and green everywhere on April 1st! (That is, IF the pine pollen hasn't covered everything in YELLOW ! )

I was in Dallas once on March 30th and everything was still brown, why would it be green in Austin?

Because Austin is better. Duh.

(said completely tongue in cheek.)
