Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

1. 620 is a mess and traffic is horrible.

2. There are plenty of low income kids who get the free or reduced breakfasts and lunches because of low income and free/reduced extended care after school.

3. Depends on which direction you need to go for work.

I grew up in Lakeway and still have friends and family there. It has always been more on the upper class side--there are a few outlier areas that are not as wealthy which feed into LTISD, but even back in ancient times when I was in school there it was filled with largely upper middle class and very rich kids.

I say this as my family was one of the few which was not wealthy, and it was a big culture shock and sometimes painfully apparent to me once we moved there that we had landed in a very different world from the one we lived in prior to that--rural, small town Michigan.

That area is becoming wealthy and developed enough that it almost seems like there's a concerted effort to make it the next Orange County.

Whwt are rent prices like? For both homes and apts? How far off a commute into town. The 602 is trafficy? Is it that bad?

Looks like a really beautiful place.

Does Lakeway include the "Estates at Cherry Mountain" area, on Lookout Peak Drive? Is the traffic from that spot as horrible as everywhere else? I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what area that little enclave is classified as.

I'm not sure why you want to play semantics. This area is right behind the high school and hospital, so yes, it's considered part of "Lakeway". Will they pay Lakeway CITY tax, not most of them, as they are in "Travis County", but there are still some of the properties within the city limits.

The road construction in that area is going on, widening Flintrock, so who knows how that will change the traffic in that little area.
