I'm attracted to the allure of living within the Domain up north. The problem is I have family down south near Brodie/William Cannon and I don't want to move too far away from them.

Can anyone recommend a nice, new apartment complex in south Austin that is within a 5-10 minute walk of a good assortment of restaurants and bars?

Does such a thing even exist, or is that relegated to the Domain?

tons of them, the alamo drafthouse complex on south first are really nice. There are tons of restaurants and a shakeshack in the lobby.

Nearly an endless supply! Many on South Lamar as well as South Congress, Barton Springs Road and of course downtown and the close in East Side, bring $$ though!

Colonial Grand at Double Creek and a couple of other apartments in that area are within walking distance of the South Park Meadows shopping center, but there are no sidewalks.
