They are one less car on the road, so cut them some slack. Maybe preferred parking, or a dedicated spot for all the scooters. If you actually own the parking spot, you can enforce it is for customers only. If they are your customer, you should be delighted.

I get Facebook ads daily looking for people to charge these. I haven’t looked in to it, but there’s people do it, for sure. I’ve also seen someone dropping them off on Congress best cesar Chavez.

They get paid by the scooter to pick them up and return them to some charging station.

Nah...they just drove into town, found a free parking spot and are using the scooter(and leaving it wherever )

Sometimes that is true, but the average trip length is 1.18 miles according to city stats.

Wonder what the median is? In any case, walking a mile really shouldn't be that big of a deal except maybe in the midst of summer heat.

I really have no problem with the concept, but I have seen quite a few not-quite-so-sharp folks riding them in the roads relatively recklessly and late at night.

If there isn't a designated area for scooters to park, what's the difference between a scooter and a car (or motorcycle) in a parking space? Your customers have to get to your business somehow, don't they?

Of course, if the customer has gone and left the scooter, that's a different story. Not sure how you'd always know that, though, depending on what the business is.
