The prior post on scootering reminded me of this. There is a huge cruiser rally in-town this weekend. I've heard numbers of 6K 'bikers' thrown around.

Decker Lane, the road which goes by the Expo center, is backed up solid from the Expo center on to MLK. That's a solid three miles, if not more.

Also, 6th will likely be closed, and when large groups of people get together, they can be rather arrogant. In this case, it'll be on the roads, so expect odd and sometimes illogical behavior.

There will be a 'parade' from the Expo center to downtown, Friday from about 6-8 PM, so there maybe a major traffic problem on the east side of town.

I used to ride, though not a cruiser, and I did my best to avoid groups of more than about 8.

The R.O.T. rally is pretty impressive. If you want to look at some spiffy bikes, I always liked going out the the oasis and just walking through the parking lot. Personally, the expo center gets a little too, um, 'arrogant' (I have a friend who always helps with security there).

"Arrogant". I was doing my best to not be mean....

Honestly, I cannot believe the traffic, and it's been this way since 6 AM. Supposedly, there will be 1K trailers/fifth wheels/motorhomes in the Expo Center's lots.
