Hello,
We've been wanting to go back to Austin but one of the concern I have is finding a good school for children with autism.

I am looking for a school that provides Early intensive intervention, mostly 1:1 therapy combined with Sensory Integration, Speech and some form of play therapy like floortime, play therapy and an informal form of ABA.

Could someone please email me or i guess PM (need to figure out how to read PMs in this forum).

I am not relying in the school district so much because they don't provide that type of environment.

thanks

Please try the Capitol School. I have many friends who work there and they have a specific track for autistic children.

I absolutely agree with the recommendation for Capitol School of Austin. My daughter has a speech delay and so our family relocated from California just so she could attend this school. It is the only school that I have found of its kind. All the teachers are speech therapists, the student-teacher ratio is low and they have OT and music therapy as part of the curriculum. There is also a private clinic located on campus if you choose to have additional therapies.
