Wow, that is incredibly awesome!! Can you Private Message me and let me know who you used?

How long did it take to go in? Were there any problems? Can they tell you in advance if there will be problems (i.e. rocky soil, etc..)?

Thanks!

Can you share who installed your pool? Looks nice! Is it a concrete pool, or fiberglass?

Mike...not only does your yard look nice, you get relief from the heat with the pool, AND there is a lot less grass to mow!

Good all around!

Shoot!! I totally forgot about this post/topic.

Sorry I picked back up on mountain-biking

Anyways, I would not recommend the company I selected to build your pool, that's for sure.

I know I paid a good price and the reason being was the pool builders were just starting out. Trust me, they were a pain in the ^^^ to work with! I missed a lot time at work over looking the contractors they used. The pool itself is great, but not the service. So I will just share the pics and if you need any information on the equipment I selected I will be happy to provide that to you.

I will say one thing, all the people whom hear from others that were or are pool owners and say that they are not good investment because of the up-keep is very WRONG!! I have not really done anything to my pool. I counted total cost of maintance on it and it was less then 100.00 a year. And that was mainly on salt pellets (for chlorine) and Muratic acid to lower the PH and that was because all the rain we had.

I did choose vinyl liner. The upkeep is extremely simple versus gunite or fiberglass. Algae don't stick to liner

Also invest in robotic cleaner. That was the best 600.00 investment ever. Forget about using a suction side or dedicate pressure cleaner and using the dirt to go to your filter system. Keep it simple all.

Cheers.

Fiberglass is similar to a vinyl liner in upkeep. One of the easiest systems/pools to maintain - fiberglass with cartridge filter. I have never had algae.

It was built this year, took 5 months, and cost $55k for this 15,000 gallon Negative edge pool with LED lighting: Listing Details (http://austinhomesearch.com/Search/Details.aspx?li=428959&or=1&cp=1 - broken link)

From what the owner told me, the contractors dragged out the build and were constant no-shows with escalating prices due to "digging" and rock issues.

Frankly, my pool people have all sucked.

Austin contractors really have the advantage here.
