Nice property! If you like snow though, take heart. We've had much greater accumulation than that. Granted, it was a few years shy of a quarter of a century ago

Let me clarify the forecast - "chance of snow / freezing rain" means that someone, somewhere, in the far reaches of the Hill Country, about 100 miles west of Austin, will see a flurry. To the weather forecasters in Austin (TV, radio, etc.), this somehow translates to "snow in Austin."

From 2003 I think, in Oak Hill. Just enough to cover the ground and make a snowman. My iPhone weather gizmo shows snow on Friday.

I see it in the forecast. I hope people are telling the truth when they say it won't materialize. Seriously, I just moved here from Alaska. A year off with no snow sounds wonderful. I'm hoping it will get warm again soon.

They are calling for a mix of rain & snow in Dripping Springs on Friday. The overnight low will be down to 25, so snow is a definite possibility, but it would not stick around for long.

Ice on the roads and driveways will be a greater concern.

Austin has freaky weather. I've been here since 1993 and it's either snowed or frozen the streets at least 4 times in that span. we are due for a very cold winter. if anybody remembers last year, it barely got cold AT ALL. now this? I actually have pics of me in the snow. I'll post them later
