Can anyone recommend a good/reputable place to buy used appliances?

Thanks!

I don't know about used, but we have purchased several appliances from "Giant". They have the damaged and dinged things. The blemishes on our items is very slight and you can't even see it.

They deliver, too, for a small fee.

I would make sure that you price out new appliances as well before buying anything used or reconditioned.

A good example is that the "special" at Giant Appliances on their website is a reconditioned GE 18 Cubic foot refrigerator for $399 (6 month warranty). You can go over to Sears.com and get a new Kenmore 18 cubic foot refrigerator for $388 (1 year warranty).

I've never had the best luck in finding deals on used or reconditioned appliances from reputable dealers. It always seems to me that places like Sears come really close to the used prices (or beat them) on good quality new appliances.

I bought my Fridge, deep freezer, stove, and washer on Craigslist. All EXCELLENT prices. I picked up everything except the fridge. I got a nice, newer white gas GE stove for $125 (it was DIIRRTTYYY from a rental, but I used a lot of elbow grease and it looks beautiful). I paid $450 for a huge double door LG newer fridge. $300 for a LG HE front load washer and only $125 for an upright frost freeze deep freezer.

These are used, so you have to be careful. I have an American Home Shield warranty and they fixed the fridge I bought when it broke. So, my advice is IF you buy used on a private party and buy quite a few things, get a home warranty. They are well worth it.
