There is an Air Pollution alert, Orange, today.

Any correlation?

I guess I should have figured out, that will all that traffic, the area was going to be prone to air pollution.

I noticed a gray smog haze hanging around on 360 and 2222 yesterday. Not surprising there is a pollution watch.

I only cycle on 360 when I can get a cross wind coming from my right side. Otherwise I get 'drenched' in exhaust from all the cars on the highway. The worst is going south, just past the iron bridge on that hill. It's like death.

It's too bad because 360 is such a fast, fun, efficient ride compared to all the stop and go roads in the city.

I'm a little stuffed up, with a little drainage going into my throat. Seems like a typical allergy symptom. I sneezed once last night. Other than that, I feel pretty normal.

You only see the brown haze during humid days. On dry days, same traffic, no haze. So what is it?

Well, water vapor isn't clear, for one thing. So haze on humid days is logical, but it doesn't explain the brown color. Ozone is invisible (and odorless), so it's probably not that. Pollen? Dust? Maybe. Smoke from Mexican agriculture fires? Lots of people say that is what it is. Maybe we should speculate on the thread about it:

What's with the haze?
