TODAY
This Friday we are launching 'Hug a Kiwi day'. Let's support our cousins across the ditch!

The Today show on their Facebook page announced they will be launching a 'hug a kiwi day' to show support for the All Blacks in their quest of Rugby World up victory over the French.

I saw the game and as much as it pains me to say so, the All Blacks deserved their victory over the Wallabies. Not sure if I'm ready to support them over the French. On the other hand, kiwi taxpayers have been footing the bill for the World Cup in Auckland so part of me says.. yeah they should win it.

Aussies, are you going to find a kiwi to hug on Friday?

Meh. I'll be supporting France not because I have anything against New Zealand, but bar the Ireland-Australia game, there haven't been any big surprises. A dull world cup, really.

Also, does anyone else get this vibe that it's a world cup hosted by new zealand for new zealand?

The whole world cup has being really dull actually, we had to look around for 3/4 and hour on sunday night to find a pub in the CBD that was actually showing the game with the sound on sunday night. Most places where showing the game on a small TV, while they had the normal DJ or Band going on. At leat the game was being shown on the now pernament big screens in the Mall and King George Square.

Hug a Kiwi eh? I could imagine myself walking down the queen street mall on friday with a big sign, saying "Free Hugs, Kiwis only need apply"

Yep, I do. I agree with danielsa1775 too, it's been boring as bat sh1t. No one really seems that interested except the Kiwis.

England didn't bother turning up, France have been woeful (I have no idea how they made the final) and Australia and South Africa never really got into it. NZ will pretty much win because there is no one for them to choke to.

Well plenty of guys I work with were very interested up until last Sunday - strange they are no longer interested - wonder why...

And of course the fact they defeated Australia doesn't count as a non-choke?

Australia lost to Ireland and barely beat South Africa. I reckon Wales would have been a bigger challenge to NZ than Australia was. My point was the field this time round has been pretty poor.

Oh Tri..,
Sooo funny
I think the All Blacks hype is myth, otherwise they would have had another WC win by now (last one was 1987). Then again, at least rugby is one common demonator that brings together's disparate communities and gives them something to do when they can't find a sheep

Gotta go.. trying to relearn the lyrics to La Marseillaise to sing on Friday.

They've been just a bit unlucky, a bit like us in recent years. They are still on the best teams, I think.

Oh goodness mini I hope you're not serious about the last part...
