I just saw the chamber choir of University of Sydney tackle one of my favorite Handel pieces. I enjoyed it a lot, but I'm having difficulty figuring out the audience's response. The response wasn't tepid, was it?

If you need the link, just ask me, and I'll post it.

It's not new. It's done every year.

Handel’s “Israel in Egypt”
Presented by: Sydney University Graduate Choir, Soloists and Orchestra
Music Director : Christopher Bowen

The Sydney University Graduate Choir’s 2015 concert series concludes with Handel’s outstanding oratorio Israel in Egypt. Premiering in 1739 in London, this spectacular and colourful work contains more choral movements than arias. Water turns to blood, flies buzz, and hailstones rain down—all comes to life in the powerful choruses as Handel depicts the ten plagues, the crossing of the Red Sea, and the drowning of Pharaoh’s armies. Joseph Haydn is said to have burst into tears after a performance in Westminster Abbey and remarked of Handel, “He is the Master of us all!” The work is now recognized as one of the great oratorios of all time. This performance will feature the Sydney University Graduate choir and orchestra under the baton of Music Director Christopher Bowen OAM, and six wonderful soloists: sopranos Anita Kyle and Emma Moore, alto Anna Dowsley, tenor Richard Butler, and basses David Hidden and Simon Lobelson.

That's not answering my question. I would like to know how you all believe the audience responded at the end. Here's the link for the one I'm talking about.
