The way politicians successfully play the 'boat people' card is an indicator of this.
I've witnessed this thing a few times, in all cases I believe drugs and alcohol were involved, so a lot of it was just people venting aggression or being intimidating. I'd be surprised if anyone who has lived here their whole lives has never experienced or witnessed racism. It's minority, to be sure, but it can be more common than you think.

Try being a Paki or a Romani in countries like France or England.

Countries like USA, Australia and Canada are full of immigrants, things like what happend on that bus do happen but is sure is not the norm. There's this place in Saint Paul that has Asian Resturants next to African Halal meat markets next to Mexican resturants and everyone gets along.

Nothing in the video is that surprising, in Australia, or in any country.
So true man YouTube is full of racist vvideos
Its not exclusively an Australian problem

In recent history you had race riots in Watts thunk Rodney King.. Detroit had bad riots that caused many whites to move to suburbia.

I am. One thing I will defend Australia about is it LACK of racism. The worst racism I encountered was the blacks in the States - white = evil for them. Hong Kong was pretty bad too, but it was not violent there.

Apparently the guy who shot the video was "a bit dark" his words not mine, and had some things said to him when people saw him filming.
