Hi guys im trying to get some insight on where I should live within the gold coast of Australia. I wanna be able to meet people my age (20s) on the beach/in town. So somewhere fairly crowded but not too touristy. I want to be in a beach town and be able to meet locals my age. I want to be somewhere close to the great nightlife (surfers paradise) but in a nice town where i can meet people and hangout at the beach! If anyone knows of a great spot in the gold coast that would suit me please let me know!!!

You are right, it is continuous suburbia.
Hence anywhere from Surfers to Coolangatta applies.
I like the northern end - Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, but plenty prefer the quieter southern areas, and middle areas like Burleigh Heads-Palm Beach.
