Hello. My Indian male friend has received a job offer in Bundaberg, QLD and will be moving there in October. Will he be accepted in this city? Thanks.

I don't really know the town per se (have not been north of the Sunshine Coast) - but like any country town, they can be a bit parochial and probably not as accepting as the big cities.
In saying that, there would be established communities there, and most ethnic groups are well represented here.
There are going to be rednecks and country hicks anywhere you go in rural areas, but it should not be a problem overall.

Has there been any form of violence in these areas recently regarding ethnicity? I know that Australia has a problem with a refugee crisis but my friend is a legal immigrant and one of Australia's main cultural aspect is having a multi-ethnic society while legal immigrants respect the country's culture and lifestyle. I told this to my friend and he always abide by the law. So, if he acts nice to the local community with a kind manner, how will they respond?
