internship / unpaid work???
sounds like scam to me.
I cant imagine any kind of sponsored work free or paid would give you the freedom to choose your location.

Forget about coming here for now. We're in a recession and thousands of people are losing their jobs. Life isn't looking very rosy here at the moment.

Oooh dont be so negative.

Yes people are losing jobs.

Life is tough.

If you are prepared to move though then I am sure you will do OK.

For example Gold mining and coal seam methan are still mining areas that are going strong.

Forget retail though. Everything from cars, furnature, clothes to coffee shops are real tough. As is steel and aluminum mining and refining.

I'm not being negative, I'm merely being realistic. It certainly isn't a good time to migrate here atm, anti - immigration feelings are running high and people resent those who move here from overseas and take jobs away from the locals.

Probably not a good idea to be migrating anyway. But if for some reason you need to no harm in at least tryin'.
