The first race I have watched from beginning to end in probably 10 years. Good mix of action and you gotta feel for the rookie slamming the wall on the final turn/final lap. That would sicken me.

Eh, the first 185 laps or so were pretty mundane. The double-file restarts provided nearly all the action until Hildebrand's epic f-up.

Interesting how the 600 finished in similar fashion.

A bad break on JR Hildebrands part. We're gonna hear a lot from this guy, if I'm not mistaken he's a rookie in the true sense of the word. First big race? This one?

Actaully the 500 is one race I do not miss. Great to see a minor team win as it was getting like F1 with just two teams really winning. On a side note ;I loved watching the old Indy races on Speed for the 100th celebration.

Great race with a gut wrenching ending. I did a double take cause i couldnt believe it. Not that i was rooting for Wheldon i do feel bad for Hilldebrand. A couple ESPN analysts rated this as the top sports choke of all time, and I can think of anything that would top this. But thats the nature of sports. Hopefully he will learn and eventually exorcise the demons.

I felt bad for the National Guard folks who were rooting for car/sponsor. How ironic that both NG cars (Indy and the 600) end in the last quarter of the last lap.
