Tell us which one of the 12 drivers in the chase for the 2011 championship will win it. Also, if you would like to explain how they will accomplish winning the championship.

Still too close and early to call the winner. The driver with the most top five finishes will win even if he has no wins.

Best bets, Edwards, Johnson, Harvick, Kenseth

I'll take the Shrub! I believe this is his time to start rolling off Championships, and no better place to start than right now!! Harvick has lucked into a few of his wins this season, and I don't think he is a threat..............and he's a bit of a punk.

I really don't care as long as it's not one of the chumps in a Toyota.

i agree with this list, except perhaps kenseth. i am hoping edwards can take home the title this year though, but i wouldnt mind seeing harvick win it either.

As of now there is a tie in the voting poll between Edwards, Harvick, and Johnson for winning the 2011 NASCAR championship. With six races left in the chase, it seems that those three drivers are the top three contenders for the championship at this time. It could very well still be possible for other drivers to finish good enough in the ramaining races to have a shot at the championship.

while it is possible for anyone to still win the whole thing, i dont see anyone below kyle busch having any real chance this year. jeff gordon is ninth in the points, a full race back. which means just to catch edwards, gordon would have to win the next race, and edwards would have to stay home from the event.

With the exception of Talladega, Brad has historically not done well at the rest of the remaining Chase tracks but that blue duece has been running up front a lot lately, I'm picking BK.

After the first five Chase races the Average finishes for the contenders are,
Edwards 4.6
Harvick, 7.2
Kenseth, 7.4
Keselowski 9.6
Stewart, 10
Kyle Bush, 10.4
Kurt Bush, 11
Johnson, 13
Earnhardt,15.4
Newman,16.8
Gordon,19
Hamlin,20.6

I don't think anybody is eliminated yet but at this point Edwards has to be considered the favorite.
Of course as long as Johnson is still in contention I would not be engraving the trophy just yet.
