the only one i would have any disagreement with is the oil additives, and that is conditional. for most car built after 1990 or so, additives are not needed due to camshaft materials, and roller lifters/followers reducing friction wear. however, earlier engines need oil with higher amounts of zddp to prevent excessive camshaft wear, and the possibility of wiping a cam lobe. however you dont need an expensive additive to get what is needed, stp in the blue can will do nicely for most engines, and in the red can if you decide you need even more zddp.

You are much more likel;y to get a good list by reading your vehciles service manual really as they spend alot of money testing to provide it. Eve then there are a few things that many like to do because they have had good results by doing them.

I hope everyone understands the difference between Fuel-Injection Cleaning ($125-$200) and a good can of quality injector cleaner additive every once in a while.

I've tried them all and the best thing I've found is Lucas fuel treatment, my GM 3.4 goes from 18.9 to 22.3 when added, and the treatment lasts through several tanks.

Coolant info is bunk! The Motorcraft Premium Gold as used in the Ford Powerstroke Diesels is a special blend for Diesels and good for 5 years or 100K. Which ever comes first? It also runs about $18 a gallon and is the only acceptable kind to use in one. The green and red stuff will not work!
