So in most cars I feel pretty cramped, not enough leg room and I have to bend over to be able to see well. What are some cars or trucks that work well for taller people? right now I am looking at ford rangers, broncos, f150s, and crown vics, so if anyone knows how well these might accomodate me please let me know. but if you know of any other cars that work well for taller people let me know!
A colleague of mine was pretty tall- around 6' 6". He was an American based in Holland and had his car adapted with special long runners so that the seat went further back. I don't know if this can be commonly done.
I'm pretty long in the leg and have found it surprising which cars are good in this respect and which ones are not.
It isn't necessarily how big the car is, but, again, how far back the seats are able to go.
Any other parameters? I'm 6'7" with a 34" inseam (so most of my height is upper body), weigh about 300lbs and have wide shoulders. While finding comfortable vehicles has been tough, it's not impossible. Here's a short list of what I've found works well:
1) 08 and newer Scion xB. This is my current ride. TONS of headroom, good amount of legroom, good shoulder room for a compact car, decent mileage, good power, reliable. Will comfortably hold 4 full-size adults much better than even a midsize sedan due to the more upright seating position (think student desk chair versus recliner).
2) 04-06 Pontiac GTO. Quite simply, the only car I've ever owned where I not only fit but felt 'average-sized' in it. 2004 models benefitted from NOT having a dead pedal, meaning I could strech my left leg all the way out and rest my foot on the firewall. I actually had to move the seat slightly forward from the farthest back setting to comfortably drive this. Need 4 doors? No problem. Just get the Pontiac G8. It's the exact same car.
3) 00-07 Ford Focus. No, seriously. I had one for years and it was a GREAT little car. My only complaint was the lack of shoulder room. I was pretty much guaranteed to rub shoulders with any 'full size' passenger.
4) Full-size pick-ups. Take your pick. I've driven Chevys and Fords since I was 15 and don't really have a preference between the two.
5) Ford FLEX. This is the old man's current ride and, wow, can it hold some tall folks! High roofline, plenty of shoulder room, lots of second row legroom (I fit behind the old man without even beginning to rub my knees on the back of his seat).

That would be my wildcard vote. They are quite spacious for being such a modestly sized vehicle. Definitely worth checking out.
There was a cool limo conversion done to one but I can't seem to find many pictures of it.
How tall is tall? I'm 6'4" and it is the rare car I completely can't drive do to my height.
The best one I ever found overall was the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO and the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8, as the other poster said, driving one makes you feel almost average there is so much room.
After those, BMW's actually have a lot of driver room in them. The only drawback is that no one is going to be sitting behind you in a 3-series if you're really tall.
My current car is a Chevy Malibu with a sunroof and I feel like I am as tall as you can be to comfortably fit in the car.
My pointless answer would be a Smart car, they actually have a ton of head and leg room.
yeah like a few of you have said, 6'4. average leg/torso, not too big across. i don't have the money for a new car, only a couple thousand to spend so the bmws are out. right now im driving a mid sized pickup and its ok, definetly better than most sedans. i will consider a fullsize truck though, and the chevy malibu, as long as you don't mean you actually put your head THROUGH the sun roof. I really want a crown victoria though, anyone know about those? it seems cops are often pretty big...

Crown Vics and the like (Dodge Chargers, Magnums, etc) or surprisingly unspacious given the size of the car. I've rented a few of these, usually because the nice lady behind the rental counter takes one look at me and thinks 'this guy needs a big car'!. But let's just take the Crown Vic as an example. If you break the car down to three sections (engine compartment, passenger compartment, trunk), you begin to see that the space allocated for the passengers really isn't as big as you would initially think. Will you fit? At 6'4", yeah, you should be fine. But you may be surprised to find you fit just as well in smaller vehicles where the designer actually THOUGHT about maximizing space for the passengers.
