We will see how much longer they continue to make new ones.... in 2000, they sold 100,000 of them. In 2010, they sold only 28,000. It has been a steady downhill ride for sales in that past decade. The ratio of Camry to Avalon sales is just stunning.

My parents had a 1969 Mercury Marquis which was enormous, and rode like it was on glass. Ditto for my mom's 73 Olds Delta 88 and 1982 Buick Park Avenue, which also rode very nicely despite having to replace the starter four times in under a decade and just over 95,000 miles!!!

The current Avalon is so ugly. Looks like it swallowed a pig!
