If i were to buy a new car like a cts v coupe, what is usually the best brand of performance tires for grip and traction. Performance/summer tires would be the best type right? Or could i get similar results with all season tires for some rainy days. Thanks ahead for the input
You will not get the same performance from even the most aggressive all-seasons as you'll get from a halfway decent summer performance tire. And depending on tread pattern, all-seasons won't necessarily give you substantially better rain grip either. Their purpose is to remain adequately functional through a wider range of temperatures than either summer or winter/snow tires.
Which is the best will depend on what is your priority: comfort, grip, tread-wear rating, etc. I'd say go to Tire Rack's Tire Decision Guide and then when you get the results use the filters to the left to further narrow down your selection.
Based on my research, right now the best bang-for-the-buck summer tires appear to be the Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110's. Who knows if they're available in your size though.

I have those mounted currently on my CTS-V for daily driving, which the OP was looking for, I think.
Good set of tires, but NOT recommended if you track your car. Soft on sidewalls (making it a problem when cornering) and carries plenty of road noise as tread wears.
Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT's are what I have on my '08 Vette and they really grip the road around the twisties.
Tires are such an overlooked part of the sports car experience, too many buyers assume that the standard tires on their vehicle are the best for their purposes which is almost always incorrect.
I don't live in a climate that requires all-season tires luckily but I still would spring for having tires just for summer performance driving and a separate set for winter.
