Only because you've made it so the car is driving downhill all the time.

ps seafoam does do what it says it will.
marvel mystery oil is one on the worst things you can use.
It actually lowers the lubricity of your fuel be it gas or diesel fuel.
and yes I can point you to the data that backs this up.

Think about this. Car manufacturers have whole floors full of engineers who design cars to get the best performance and gas mileage. They sell MORE cars if they get better gas mileage. If something was as simple as this, they would install it in their cars in a heartbeat!

With that said, you will get the best gas mileage in a newer fuel injected vehicle by following the vehicle manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. The closer to factory specifications and working order, the better the gas mileage.

Also drive like an old lady. No quick starts or quick stops (if you see a red light ahead, take your foot off the gas and coast to it).

Thanks for all the replies. I thought it was probably a scam, but since I'm send about $200 every week for gas it makes me want to do anything to save where I can. I will have to try the other thing in this thread.

the reason this works is because you essentially install a taller gear ratio so the engine has lower revs at speed. be careful though, as you change the speedo reading as well as the odo reading.
