Buying new car with hail damage (vehicle, van, credit, best)

I am considering buying a new car with some hail damage from a dealer. We were negotiating on the price before the damage and had sort of settled on a price (which was the best price amongst 7-8 dealers I enquired with).
But after 2 days there was a hail storm and the car that we wanted got a few dents in it. I could only see 3-4. They were so small that I had to view them at a particular angle and even after that it was hard to notice. The dealer agreed to fixed it and also gave another 3.5% discount.
He said the fix wont show up on carfax and will be a paintless dent repair. I am wondering if I should buy this car or not?
What all things I should consider other than the visual dents?

Many cars receive dents from hail, rocks, other items. I think that is not a bad deal for them to knock off more money and fix the dents. Many dealers around here have a "storm sale" and sell the cars as is, when this happens. Outside of a small crack in the glass or lights, there is not much to worry about.

If they can adequately fix it with paintless dent repair, to your satisfaction, and give you a better deal on the car, I do not see the problem here.

I bought a car with a lot of hail damage. They agreed to fix it or give a $200 credit. I had them fix it and it looked great. You couldn't tell a thing. I agree that they are being extra nice by giving you an additional amount off.

If the dealer fixes the car to the point that the damage is not noticeable, the car can practically be sold without and price adjustment. Chances are the supposed damage wouldn't even be mentioned unless asked about it. So I'd say getting a good price discount is a great deal.

We bought our prior vehicle (1 yr old Explorer) that had hail damage while on the dealer lot, and it was repaired perfectly. No way you could ever tell it was damaged on the paint, and no negative Carfax report on it. Only one piece of window trim had a dent in it, and I just never bothered to replace it (a $38 part). But we got it for a good $3,000 less than comparable vehicles at the time, and I was very pleased with it. Ended up trading it last month after 5 yrs for only $6,000 less than we paid for it! The dealer quickly resold it too.

We also had a van that was hail damaged and repaired by a PDR guy. His work was amazing. There were over 100 dents on the hood and front fenders, many we could not even see, and he fixed them all for $450. Didn't bother with the roof, as no one could ever see it.

Even if they didn't fix it, I am willing to bet you will have a rock chip or parking lot door ding within a few months anyway. I'd take the deal and enjoy it.

Back in '02 I bought a Monte Carlo SS brand new with 25miles on it. That week I went to the grocery store and came out to a huge grocery cart scuff on the corner of the rear bumper.

I bought an '07 Eclipse (new) that was shot with a bb gun within a month of having it.

I bought an '06 300C that was hit with a rock on the C pillar early on. Maybe a couple of weeks?

MY '10 SHO (used) picked up a door ding in the mall parking lot the first week.

Funny thing is that something ALWAYS happens within the first month I have a car and then never again.

point is, things happen.
