Approx. 130 mph in a BMW 740il, on multiple occasions. In that car, 120 felt like 70.
No more than 85 in my Lexus. I no longer have the need to go fast, especially since the ride is so nice, and I've mellowed out a bit.
It's amazing that in my first car (Ford Probe) anything over 80 was a harrowing experience. The steering wheel would shake and it would feel like the car was coming apart.
In my WRX I've almost hit 100 a few times while passing and I didn't even notice until I looked down at the speedo.

I find this common in German cars...they're designed to routinely cruise at high speed, and as a result, instill a ton of confidence when driving them at these appropriate speeds. I maintained speeds in the 130 range in a VW golf for numerous miles on end before speed restrictions showed up again and the car was COMPLETELY competent...I always wondered what the LS1 Trans Am's were like at top speed. The car was tested to 163 mph (governed)...I wonder if it was stable at those speeds, or if it had "issues" when it reached those speeds.

o answer about the Trans Am, it's very stable at 160. I now plead the 5th...
140, WRX wagon, very rural, straight and flat road and just for a few moments but other than having to pay a good deal of focus and attention it didn't feel like the car was going to loose it any time soon. Tested, the car does 150 so I think I was holding back hehe
After driving an eternity one afternoon on the Pacific Coast Hwy between San Francisco and So Cal, we took a short cut across some very flat farmland. I was flying to make up some lost time from all of the twisties and turns that we were doing all day.
As a passenger, we hit 140+ in a buddy's performance car. It's fun when you have absolute trust in that person.
125 on the Autobahn in Germany and 130 on the 405 in So Cal in my friend's Vet both times as passenger. 110 on back of motorcycle passenger also. Next time I want to drive myself 130 plus.
Me driving, about 165 or so in my old T/A I guess?
As a passenger I've gone 190 on two occasions, once in a blown Grand Sport, the other in a TT Silverado... And both races the car I was in lost, I must be bad luck. lol
