Theres a lot more to it then just HP/Trq. You need to look at type of transmission, and gear ratio as well. The Sonic is also a lot smaller then the 3/Focus, and isnt even the the same vehicle class.
The Sonic would compete with the Mazda 2/Ford Fiesta.
Does the difference matter between mediocre, a tiny bit better than mediocre and a tiny bit worse than mediocre? If you want acceleration, get an acceleration vehicle. Those cars are for economy, not acceleration.

Im not asking for a class comparison, I'm asking straight up in general, which of these 3 would/should/are the quickest at acceleration.
If you put them all on a road and floored them one would come in first second and third, who cares about class or competitors

I'm sure there has to be a noticable difference in them. Yeah sure I could buy a Ferrari, but I have a budget and I'd like the best bang for the buck, regardless if speaking overall they aren't speedsters.
What's the point of discussing which is faster in that segment when the answer is that they are all dog slow. Neither is impressive and each will be embarrassing to race.
Parents of mentally challenged children don’t fight over which one is less retarded because at the end of the day they are all deficient.

Dog slow? There's is a reason for discussion because acceleration is a nice component of the driving experience. I wouldn't call 7.5 dog slow. A Prius c takes 11 seconds to get to 60. There's a huge difference between 7.5 and 11. No I wouldn't say it's a racecar but more than adequate to get up hills without moaning and groaning.
And your analogy makes you look retarded.
