An Internet video of Lamborghini claiming 219 mph on an Arizona highway has sparked an investigation by the Department of Public Safety.
The five minute video depicts several runs where the driver attempts to beat the previous run's top speed, with the final run resulting in a 219 mph top speed on what appears to be a Phoenix area freeway.

Are you sure its not Mike running late, on his way to the airport (because he just had to spend those extra few minutes here in the forum)?!
i think it's awesome... that these guys are going to get caught. but the lingering question in my mind is, how did a couple of baggy pants jackasses get ahold of an LP640 in the first place??

I dunno... ever wonder how the all the Polish guys who barely speak any English show up at rallycross and ice trial events with a rotating fleet of expensive, highly modified and sometimes fully rally-prepped Evos and STis can afford those things? I mean, it's not quite the same as an LP640, but it does get me to wondering where the hell they obtain the means to buy all of those cars and then spend God knows what modifying the hell out of 'em. I often reckon it's best that I don't know.

That is pretty stupid, I'm surprised they didn't catch him.
Don't be too surprised if you see a gold Lamboughini on one of those "Hot Pursuits" shows on Court TV! We'll know who it is!
The cops won't chase anybody going over about 100. They prefer to catch people who speed but not too much because they are easier to catch. Imagine a cop car from a dead stop going after a 200 MPH car.
