Happy to help.
Warranties have some of the highest commission amounts of any product sold by a dealer.
Never, ever pay the full price that they quote you (and never buy a third party, non-manufacturer warranty)

So thanks to you, I bought the Honda Care Warranty for 5 years from purchase date and up to 100K miles total on my odometer with zero deductible for $1000 total. I am covered until September 24th, 2019 or 100K miles!! I think that's a fantastic deal, my local dealer had quoted me $2435.00 for the same product!!
I bought mine from Hyannis Honda which is a small Honda dealership in Hyannis MA. I dealt with Bob Leab which is absolutely awesome and very easy to work with... He did a great job. You can buy Honda warranties from them from anywhere in the US except Florida.
I have a 2012 Accord LX and i have had to replace the power steering rack twice so far. The last time was approx mid-year 2013 and I am starting to hear the noise again. This car has been a huge disappointment and bears no resemblance to the 1994 Honda Accord.
I too have a 2012 Honda Accord with the whining problem. In October 2014 at 28,000 miles the dealer replaced the steering rack. Now at almost 35,000 miles the rack needs to be replaced again. (supposedly it is leaking in a different place than in October). With my warranty ready to run out, I phoned Honda wanting to know what they will do to guarantee against any future trouble. I planned to purchase this vehicle when the lease was over in July. Now I guess not.
