I'm looking for car modding shops near Delano/Bakersfield, CA that can cater BMW E46 323i (1999).

I'm looking into changing:
rims
headlights as well as signal lights
tail lights
front and rear bumper
exhaust
..and adding fog lights

check out dtmpower.net I am sure there are plenty of people that can give you recommendations or help you with your request

With that being said, if you can turn a door knob, you can easly do most of that stuff your self.

Why trust a shop to modify your car? Sure you can have a shop install modifications for you, but select parts yourself using *drumroll* ...the internet!

Tons of shops online cater to the E46. Khoalty, DTM Tuning, Modbargains, and pretty much everything they offer has been installed and review by people over at E46fanatics.

None of what you mention requires much skill. Removing/installing the rear bumper cover requires some directions, particularly if you go with the popular OEM M-tech 2 kit which is not attached in an obvious way. Oh yeah, if you have the cold weather package with headlight washers removing the headlights can be a PITA - I was never able to find a good DIY guide for my ZHP sedan. Perhaps pre-facelift is easier.

thank you for this. I guess I'll look it up in the net. Any other good online resources for a large selection of car mods (not just the e46)?

There are thousands. Just about every make/model will have at least 1 or 2 very active forums full of very knowledgeable people.
