I had a 95 Camaro that was dark green. Nice looking color. Sometimes in the correct light at night it would look black.
Toyota has a green corolla now I think. I've seen a few on the road.
I would say brown as a car color isn't seen any more, and probably for good reason. That's a terrible color for a car, but if I remember correctly brown was popular in the 70's + 80's
One other color I won't miss: little blue/silver. This was the common color for the Chrysler K cars and numerous others for a while. Any variations on that too. For some reason, that color just doesn't wear well.

Someone at my job has a brown late model Subaru that I see in the parking lot every day. It looks like...well, poop. Both literally and figuratively. I can't imagine why anyone would pay good money for a car in that color.
There is also a dark green mini cooper in my parking lot. I think it's a 2014 model. It looks good and I wouldn't mind seeing the color make a comeback. My 1997 Mustang is "dark tourmaline green" that looks either blue or green, depending on the light. I certainly don't see that color much anymore, but that was huge in the 90s.

The car itself has an effect on your perception. It is like when models wear K-mart clothes and look like a million. I have seen Panameras in brown and I don’t think you would turn them down.

Back to my Acura Legend reference. Depends on the shade of brown. This shade (Rosewood Brown) is not bad
Brown is still around and it suks. All the car colors suk from about 2005 onward. Boring neutrals w no personality. I like a color that makes me happy when I see it and not want to fall asleep.
First car my folks gave me as a dark green, 1985 Olds Cutlass Supreme Bro-Ham. Not a great car, but it was given to me, and it ran fine while I had it. I kept that sucker so clean, you could eat through the wire spoke hub caps!

I love dark green, and I wish it would continue coming back.
I also love the army green that they put on the FJ Cruisers a couple of years ago, as well as the "Gotta Have It" green on the Mustangs
