While it is a 59 Chevy, they were built HUGE, but not for safety.

...I'd still feel safe enough in a land yacht, and I'd feel good knowing I'm driving a vehicle with character and soul. Those trump (for lack of a better term) any potential safety perks of a newer car for me. I say this as a 2012 Chevy Malibu owner too.

I heard a rumor that video was faked, they removed some frame railing in order to get the desired outcome. Solid steel doesn't crumple against plastic and rubber.
