So I am trying to decide between my 2013 Matrix S AWD vs 2016 Honda HR-V vs. 2016 Subaru Inpreza Sport 5Dr Vs. Hyundai Elantra GT vs. Mazada CX-3

Not sold on Hyundai they are limited like Toyota with AWD vehicles. I really like the interiors inside the Hyundai, Mazada, and Honda. I am going to test drive the Mazada, Honda, and Subaru next week.

Bit hesitant with Mazada there is only really 3 or 4 dealerships in the state. Where the other ones mentioned have 10 in the state.

Appreciate the feedback.

There's a reason toyota discontinued the matrix. It didn't compete well in the segment. While the Impreza has it's limitations, it's a leader for AWD and a safe bet. The HRV is new, so it's difficult to say if it will have the resale other honda products enjoy. CX3 will probably be the most enjoyable to drive, but mazda's are a little less refined and their resale isn't much better than hyundai.

Cool yeah bumped the Matrix D/C supposedly Toyota might bring back a AWD vehicle similiar to the HR-V. I read good reviews on both. Only issue with Subaru is cost of replacing parts, but the resale value is amazing. Thinking may forgo the Mazada test drive and focus on Honda and Subaru.

The Toyota Matrix was discontinued because Americans have a bias in favor of sedans and against hatchbacks. I don't know about the AWD version, but the FWD Matrix is nice for cargo because the rear seat folds down flush and level with the trunk space, without a step-up or gap.

Subaru Impreza is nice.
