I saw a Tesla Model X today parked at the grocery store near where I live. While I'm sure it's a technically advanced car, with lots of bells and whistles, I think they missed it on the styling. Big Time.
I was left with the impression of looking at a Toyota Prius in the 9th month of pregnancy. For a car that costs as much as that I'm thinking they might have put a little more into how it looks.

Likely wasn't a priority as it won't have trouble selling regardless of what it looks like; packaging and aerodynamics were a more pressing concern. That said, it definitely isn't much of a looker, but then again, what electric car is, apart maybe from the i8?

I sort of agree with you however styling is very subjective. Everyone has their own opinion and I guess the falcon wings are sort of cool.

The Fisker Karma is one of the best looking cars ever made imo. The Model S still looks fresh is aging very well too.
We have a Tesla store locally and they have a model X for people to play around with. The exterior leaves much to be desired, but the interior is a whole new ballgame. Of course, I pity anyone who breaks the windshield knowing the entire piece of glass goes up and over the driver.

Meh. I find the Karma to be way over-designed. The Model S, amazing engineering aside, is just as much of a blob as the Porsche Panamera. It's not awful-looking, but there's nothing special about it. I've forgotten the Roadster, actually, but it's not an EV design.

I saw a few in my area...its pretty hideous. I have to agree
I like the way it looks but its not a sexy design. It looks very well packaged, sort of like a minivan. The Model S on the other hand is still a beautiful design.

Remeber what Mercedes chief designer said. Cars design is all about lines. Not angles, not sharp corners and transitions. It's all about pure well flowing lines. THAT X has just fine.
