This was a Toyota SEMA model converted to RWD and a 5.7L V8 engine with over 600 hp. Other than the paint, wouldn't you want to take this beast out for a spin?
I had a RWD '82 Corolla for a while. That was a lot of fun even with the 1800cc hemi 4 cyl engine. I was an absolute blast on snow. I learned to look through the side window to see where I was going.
Though obviously this is something of a puerile stunt, I so dearly wish that the OEMs would actually build vehicles of this type! Larger production-numbers would drive down the cost. RWD, pushrod V8, 2-door coupe with a manual transmission - that doesn't look it's heading for a drive-through hamburger stand. No, I wouldn't pay $160K for something like this... but I'd definitely pay $50K.
