Oh yeah...
So I am driving back home from the gym. 5:45 or so am. Shaded arterial in countryside, rather still not well lit.
I glance ahead and in the opposite lane, there apparently is a pick up truck driving in reverse approaching me.
I'm like - what the heck, why would someone drive backwards? As all I can see is red BRAKE LIGHTS.
Well, eventually truck comes close enough for me to realize that it is not going in reverse - it is going forward, has all lights turned off and bright LED rectangular strip around dark headlight assemblies.
Same color as brake lights. Some older model pick up, older Dodge I think.
Plenty of them LED rectangular strip brake lights from the factory on new cars now..... That's what made me think he was going in reverse.
So here you have it.

The only thing that makes me think any car is going in reverse are white lights. I would never confuse red lights as going in reverse.

Sure, but I never once have ever thought of red lights as reverse

Red and blue forward facing lights are already illegal for obvious reasons.

Has nothing to do with LEDs. People have been putting different colored bulbs on the front of their cars for many years. You came across someone that put aftermarket lights on the front of their car. Any cars that come with factory LEDs on the front will NOT be red.

Considering the OP mentioned that it was a Dodge truck, I don't think they are a ricer. Just a moron redneck with a truck.

Those BLINDING halogen headlights with the bluish tint to them are the worst. I actually don't even think they should be legal, as I have been almost totally blinded by an oncoming vehicle with these damn things...and this is even after glancing over to the side of the road to avoid eye contact with them.

Also, when you're sitting at a red light behind a car with LED brake lights...ugh! It's almost like staring into a laser beam.
