But the guy at 2nd shop sprayed good amount of soapy water at the valve stem base, and inside the valve stem (after removing the cap), and we did not see bubbles/foam. Is it possible to miss that by soapy water test?

Was the tire on the car when he did that? I would wgaer theres a hidden nail in it somewhere. I would have thw tire removed from the rim and check it.

In my Honda it happened and my wheels needed grinding. Not sure but perhaps your wheels are rough.

Yep both places just lifted the car up and did the spray with tires mounted on the car.

Wait a second, 3 year old tires? With how many miles? I just replace all of them and be done with it. (And with something other than GoodForAYear)

Regardless, without the added weight of th ecar, the leak may be so very small it actually wont leak enough to bubble.

When I have had leaks like that, I submerge the tire wheel and all , and the source of trouble is found.
Oft time the rim is the culprit however the wheel rim can have a blem in the casting or weld some where.
thats why submerging works best .
