I prefer the Ford Ranger. For the most part, I'm a Ford guy when it comes to pickup trucks. The Ford Rangers get very good gas mileage. We had a 1990s Dodge Dakota and I still miss that truck but I still prefer the Ford Ranger though. My dad had a 1980s Ranger once which had the 5-speed transmission. Which compact truck do you prefer?

Not all of them. My 4x4 with the 4.0 V6 was a pig. 15-16 MPG real-world no matter what I did.

S10 all the way. Had around 7 of them. 2 were V8 hack job swaps. Best looking truck was the Xtreme and Chevy screwed up by not offering up a V8 for the reg cab. Also had 3 Colorado and one was a 2010 5.3 Crew cab. Again Chevy screwed up by not offering up a reg cab 6.2 version. I only like small trucks and no one makes them anymore.

Ranger. I recently traded mine in on. New F150. It had 73,000 miles, never an issue, and though 11 years old (2007) I got $8,400 trade. Still had the original battery, and everything worked.

Tacoma, with the Frontier (not in poll) coming second.
