The VW Beetle has to be far and away, number one. I also see a lot of Trophy Brides driving some big SUV's and running up over curbs all the time. Be very careful of them in Whole Foods parking lot. The place is crawling with them.
I read a while back that BMW had a study where they found out that over 70% of decisions are made by women when it comes to new car purchase, so there is a good reason why new cars are designed with that in mind.
Absolutely correct. That is why Subaru is so popular.
Im not sure if women really dig the oversized Bucktooth grilles. Personally I think it looks ugly. Maybe women on this forum can answer on what they actually think of the new BMW grilles. I think the new Ford Escape, Chevy Volt, Tesla Model 3, and all Porsche’s are feminine looking.
Not a woman, but I don’t hate the bucktooth. At least it beats the Lexus spindle and the old Acura beak.
I might agree with this if you'd said crossovers, because many CUV's have female ownership >50%, but all SUV's? How about an Xterra or Wrangler fitted for off-roading?

I know a lot of Porsche owners, and 95+% of them are men. Porsche's own numbers say 85-89%.

I believe many in this thread are viewing this through the lens that feminine = negative or bad especially if a guy is driving it.
Are we defining what vehicles we see mostly females driving? Or is the vehicle shaped in such a manner that it has feminine characteristics?
For example I believe an F-type Vert or Coupe has highly feminine attribute especially with curvy hips and waist. But I think it's a dead sexy vehicle that I would never be ashamed of driving especially with that 5.0 V8 sound.
F-type...87% of owners are male.
Also listed in this thread are F150's (84% male), Corvettes (94% male), and Tesla's (71-86% male depending on model).
So why are Porsches or Teslas considered to be feminine or feminine-looking in this thread? Are the respondents here just wrong? Or are there an awful lot of men out there who like to drive feminine cars?
The manufacturers are very knowledgeable on the demographics of who purchases their cars. I can remember when the biggest demographic purchaser of a Mercury Marquis buyer was an over 60 year old, white man

I see a fair number of women driving Wranglers, and in fact my wife and my daughters really, really like them. But my wife isn’t perhaps a fair sampling - she’s not super feminine. Her other fav is the Chrysler 300 and 90s Jag XJs, showy cars with swagger. I guess CUVs are kinda feminine, though.
Feminine cars? I always drove a 3/4 pickup, as did the majority of my female friends.
Oh wait... my mother drove a bright yellow VW beetle and two of my friends drove Ford Rancheros. Which made me jealous. I wanted a Ford Ranchero but could never find one to buy.

I used to like Lexus too but they went way overboard with that grill. The Acura beak has been ugly for a long time.
I do hate the bucktooth.
