50,000 dollars, yes sir, it is WAY out of the question lol. I heard they stopped making those though. I think because they didn't sale so well (because of cost). If someone like Honda bought the design, made it a bit taller like as tall as the spyder and made it 15,000 or less with 30 plus gas mileage then I would go sell plasma today to get that thing!

Piaggio goes from 250cc to 500cc not sure mpg but I am sure the 250ccis better then the spyder mpg wise

Honda does have a three wheeler called the Honda gyro. Its only in japan but you could get it here with no problems because its 49cc. It is also semi enclosed and tilts.

Edit- oh and back in the late 80s Honda made a three wheeled Atv called the ATC.

Speaking of ATv depending on what state you live in you could make those legal. Great because a lot of companies make enclosures for them.

A couple of weeks ago they had demo rides in St. Aug. Fl.First thing we didn't have to sign a stack of forms.Just one.Being my wife and I both ride.We had a great time, about a 20 min ride. The bike runs good, handles good also. Most folks will have trouble getting use to it.They try to lean the bike. You turn it.Being I ride a sidecar rig no problem for me.Lots of power.Needs a better exhaust system.I would consider on for our stable. If anyone gets a chance ride one.If you don't have your MC lisence they have a closed course for you to ride on.BRP Can-Am | Spyder Ryder (http://www.tryspyder.com - broken link)

Yeah, converting from counter-steering will confuse the two-wheelers.

I'm a sidecarist myself (more fun that 2-wheels, IMO) and have ridden trikes. The Spyder (we've had our silver one since March -
FIRST RIDERS RULE!!
) is still a different creature, what with turning two wheels in the front and not having to deal with the counterbalancing to keep the sidecar from lifting. I think the term Can-Am came up with: "Roadster" is appropriate to the machine. It's not like anything I've ever ridden, but is the most fun I've ever had on wheels

Gas mileage: not sure. Dealer said 30-35, but we're in the break-in period and haven't taken it out on the busier roads. We have a lot of quiet two-laners here and have been getting used to it on those roads.

I found that if I slid up on the tank when turning it felt better. With the ABS and traction control you can go into a corner HOT and the thing turns.Big grins for sure.
