Tires are your vehicles primary safety device is the only part of your car that touches the road.

Look at good year, bridge stone, Firestone, Michelin bf Goodrich and parrelli. There may be some other good tires out there but those are the ones I know are good.

Informative, thank you,
the new tire the Honda dealer in north Charleston, SC, sold me recently for $120 was from Black Well.
my first time doing business with them and likely the last time for another reason...

"Black Well"???

Not exactly a "top shelf" tire, especially at that price point..................

I buy General tires. Also have alignment done. We need excellent all-weather tires.

I just go to Discount Tire. Competitive prices, great service, never had an issue with them. Last set I bought from them was $850 for 4 tires for a 4Runner. I'll go back when these wear out.
My question exactly. How much to have online tires mounted. I don't like paying for the road hazard insurance that Discount adds but it paid for a new Michelin that was damaged. And with the pot holes and road construction around here now, I feel better about that charge.

I have bought some cheaper tires at Sam's Club but I wondered about the help that they have. That was for secondary car that I have, not much mileage.

Tire Rack has an installers listing with pricing, it's pretty comprehensive around here.
The Monroe near me is $16/tire + about $4 in extra fees. There's an independent shop a little further away that'll install for $35/tire + $4 in fees...

One more comment. No matter where you buy your tires at, have them show you the manufactured date on the tire itself.

suggestion?

thanks.
Go to Costco. Twice a year they have a $70 off per set of four coupon. I've been doing this for years. Never a problem, and if there is, well, it's Costco, they'll take practically anything back!

There are some other brands I forgot to mention that I know are good brands of tires. Yokohama and Uniroyal.

I'm curious as to the reason it's the last time you'll be doing business with them. But you don't have to share if you don't wish to
