Getting a new SUV, looking at all the options to get the windows tinted. Did some research, found out Xpel and Llumar are the top dogs with Xpel offering more heat rejection over llumar but double thecost.
Received a quote for $1550 on Xpel PR Plus, whole vehicle including Windshield. I was told Xpel rejects 98% heat while Llumar only 85%, so the price difference.
The TSER (Total Solar Energy Rejection) is the metric to look for. It's 69 for Xpel(15%) and 59 for LlumarIRX(15%). Higher the better. But the price difference is $800.
I might drop the sunroof tint, it might bring it down to $1200 for Xpel. Llumar CTX quoted - $550 or additional $200 for Llumar IRX.
What you guys suggest from experience? Does it worth the cost difference?
I am in TX, it was super hot here reaching 110F outside last month.
XPEL is the way to go. We have used both & prefer xpel.
