aight guys, my 96 ranger isnt cutting it. Loss some power and it's gettin old fast. right now it's at 150k miles and needs tons of work. I call it Frankenstein because it's in 2 halfs of blue/green with many different new parts. I've had enough, looking to upgrade now

i'm 20 yrs old in college, looking for suttin decent. I do want a pick up, but dont mind a suv... I saw this truck at a dearlship a 200 dodge ram 1500 SLT, 4wd, shortbed, reg cab. seems really nice. It has 99k miles and the price tag was at 9k. I got it down to 6700 right now. I may can do financing....

I'm wondering if any one here has a ram 1500 slt short bed with same year or close. I'd like to hear feedbacks about this truck. How many mpg this thing got? Is it like my ranger, that requires fix up offten? Is the price tag / deal sound good? Later tonight i can post up some pics of me test driving it.

Thanks andvance!

Well, there isnt any around here that's for sale in my price range. i got 5k to put down and i got that ram 1500 price tag from 9k down to 6700.... so it's a good deal from what i see.

maybe i'm lil blind by the price tag, and i'd like to know..... I'd like to know how good this is on mpg aswell. And is ram 1500's known for problems/issues? i searched on line, i get pretty much same stuff but idk if they all are resolved by now. so any help would be appreciated.
