Some auto windshield shops sell used windshields. I would suggest a new one. Shop around & i bet you can get one installed with a warranty for $150.00. My windshield is cracked top to bottom on the passenger side & i also have wiper blade marks on it. Im just gonna leave it. The cops will ticket you if the crack impears your vision (driver side).

We make no attempt at our salvage yard to even sell them. It isn't cost effective for us to take one out for you, pray we don't break it and then get it to you without it cracking. Then we have the problem of sealing the car up so we don't lose the interior parts. Most yards are this way around here.

Even we admit your best bet is to simply call the glass installer nearest to you and go with that. It IS cheaper, in almost every single case we've ever encountered. We even farm the job out for our rebuildables.

Agreed it makes absolutely no sense at all. Just pony up the money and get a new windshield especially if it warrants getting another windshield.

Are you sure that your insurance doesn't cover this?

I did a used one once. When the sun hit it - it was full of scratches. Then I found out that my insurance company will cover cost with deductible. Got a new one.
