If you just put HID bulbs into your current headlight assembly, you aren't getting directed light and you're probably blinding oncoming traffic - without a projector assembly, you'll probably get pulled over sooner or later. Your headlights are bright, but unfocused, because you have a reflection assembly.

If you put LEDs in your tail light assembly, they will not be as visible as the assembly isn't designed to properly throw the LED light. Again, you have a reflection assembly but want to project the light through LEDs.

If you add LEDs to your turn signals, you will need to add a resistor so the car doesn't think a bulb is blown out, which would give you the quick blinking issue.

LEDs and HIDs are brighter for sure, but unless you have them in the proper light assemblies, you're not really getting the value out of them you want. You really need to retrofit the car with projector headlight and tail light assemblies to get proper lighting. Mind if I ask what temp HIDs you installed?

I installed a 35 watt 4300K HID kit. As far as them being too bright and getting pulled over, that is not the case on my car. My car is a 1991 Ford Escort, and it has the original headlight lenses which have yellowed out really bad. With regular headlights (even using the brights), I could not even see the road. I have never been flashed by oncoming traffic (including the police), and I have had these lights almost a year now. Still, they have made a huge improvement, and I can see the road just fine now.

I should also add that they do not make any aftermarket HID projector retrofit kits or LED tail light assemblies for my car.

Fwiw, you may want to get a sand/polish kit and see if you can clear your headlights.
