Carmakers keep coming up with catchy new names for their car and truck models,, like El Dorado and Accord and Regal and Cherokee. What are some good ones that haven't been used yet?

I was always disappointed that Geo did not follow the Metro with Geo Grapho and Geo Logo and Geo Centro and Geo Thermo.

I think there are nine counties in California who's names match a car model. Alpine, El Dorado, Imperial, Madera, Monterey, Shasta, Sierra, Sonoma, Ventura. Maybe I missed some.

Well, it'll be another 990 years, give or take, before Thundercougarfalconbird gets used, so in the meantime, that's available ...

I've also noticed the trend to name cars after cities. Last I know, Camden is still available ...

When me and a bud were in automotive class back in highschool, we came up with a car and called it the " '64 Thunder Cat." The block, intake manifold and air box would take a shape of a cat head and the spark plug wires would look like the whiskers.

We actually had a couple people believe us until the spark plug wire and whisker part lol. It was quite stupid, but funny.

Any alpha-numeric combination salad that hasn't been used would do. The possibilities are endless. Odd numbers and the letters A, X, G, Z, and S seem to work best.

I'll bet there are bazillions of dollars spent each year on market research behind the psychological affect these have.
